Job Title: Village Operations Specialist (Full-Time), with possibilities of advancement.
Position Overview
The Village of Middle Point is seeking a versatile, motivated Village Employee to join our team. This role is ideal for a community-minded individual looking to build a long-term career in public service. You will start by supporting daily municipal operations, with a direct opportunity to advance as you master village infrastructure and administrative systems.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain village parks, roads, and public facilities.
Operate light machinery and municipal maintenance equipment safely.
Assist with water, sewer, or local utility upkeep.
Respond politely to resident inquiries and service requests.
Cross-train in administrative tasks and project coordination.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong work ethic and physical ability to work outdoors.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desire to learn municipal codes and leadership skills.
Must pass a BCI and drug screening.
Be willing to take and pass water treatment and waste license, once clock hour requirement has been met.
Benefits & Compensation
Pay range of $20.00 to 24.00 (dependent on experience).
Health insurance.
Enrollment in the State Public Employee Retirement Pension System.
Vacation, personal days and paid holidays.
Village work phone.
100% coverage for the first attempt of job-related certifications and licenses. Retests and associated testing time are unpaid and funded by the employee.
